Happy Thanksgiving! Can you believe the blue ray disc is obsolete??interesting story about blue ray disc getting used to 'tune' solar panels...

Cheers back at you! I finally figured out today, going over some old records, that I'm using about 87% less crude oil based fuels than I was 15 years ago. You know, they now have variable speed compressor heat pumps that work efficiently even up here in the Great White North. I didn't even know what the rating SEER was a few months ago...and mine has a rating of 26 (!) 18 is 'very good' and was about as good as you could get even 1-2 years ago. There has been a truly startling drop this year here in oil furnaces. Used to be about 90% of all heating systems even 5 years ago.

I lifted that quote from this :

The Atlanta-based Southern Co. plans to begin site work this summer for two new reactors at the Vogtle site in Georgia, where state lawmakers recently approved legislation forcing ratepayers to foot the bill for those facilities up front. Florida and South Carolina residents have also begun paying new utility charges to finance planned reactors, USA Today reports. Plans are in the works as well for new reactors in Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas.

Maybe they just don't like greencarreports, whereas Yahoo News is okay LOL!....sitting here solar hot water working silently (and for free) and the solar air heater is keeping the house nice and warm for a few pennies a day--its very windy and below freezing outside and 73 inside. No more oil furnace blues, even the heat pump is off. Solar everything--its lovely!
